Try to find a way to trace his hand (without giving the reason why) and then cut it out and paste it onto your card with a tracing of your hand in his, then write something from the heart on a heart and arrange it in a pretty way. Maybe you can scan and print a few of your favorite photos, with a caption underneath telling him what that event/occasion meant to you, how special he is to you. I think it would be very meaningful to him and certainly appreciated. Thoughtful, homemade cards are the best!"

Ideas for Dad's Birthday Card? It's my dad's 50th birthday today, and he's not home right now, so i have 3 hours to work on a birthday card for him. Chilla replied: "I'm not sure if you can get it or not, but for my dad's birthday one year I got a poster board and put pictures of him starting when he was young, all the way till present....then I wrote little captions underneat them. I wrote him a letter telling him how much I love him, and how much he means to me."

One on the outside and one on the inside left of the card, if they won't both fit on the outside of the card, Or put them on the envelope.Then let your 7 yr old decorate around them with little hearts. On the inside of the card, you can use one of my favorite sayings "Parents hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever" Happy Birthday Dad, lots of love. Have your 7 yr old hand write and decorate it and the envelope as much as he can..The 1 yr old can add a scribble or two to the envelope, too! You can even add a picture of them both inside the card when it is done.. Don't forget to also add the date and year on the card. What are some really funny birthday ideas? So, I'm planning this thing for one of my guy bestfriends. Do you have any homemade card ideas that i can make for my dads birthday? I'm out of ideas I want to make a fun homemade card. just simple and not decked out. I really dont have any great ideas. I've done so many things in the past for his birthday and I feel like I've done everything I can think of if you have any awesome ideas that i can easily do without buying stuff from the store that most of us probably already have in the house then that would be great.

You can include pictures of his favorite things: sports, travel, music, etc... Or you can make a collage card of pictures of you and him over the last year. You can make it all about his birthday, too. For instance, pictures of his zodiac sign, Chinese sign, birthstone, etc...
